well my brake was fun because i went christmas shopping like one whole week straight. I bought many gifts for my family.My mon was off work so i spent time with her and went to eat breakfast every day. On Christas eve we went to my uncles  house and all my family gathered up and it was so much fun.There were tamales, pozole, tostadas and othere mexican food.It was very delicious. When it hit 12 a.m we opened up our presents.My uncle was in the holiday spirit and put Christmas charols…My friend gave me some lotions.When i got to the house i opened all the gifts that my brothers and parents gave me.I got some nice jackets, shoes, jeans and gift cards from Macy’s.What got me mad was that my dad went to sleep early on Christmas and New Years.On New Years it was so much fun.The family gathering was at my house and we had alot of food and everybody was drunk.My mom was wasted.She was very hungover the next day because of all the liquor.The weeks went by so fast and i didn’t really do none of my work. I was so lazy.

Making cookies from scratch wasn’t that bad.It was Sunday and i invited my cousin over to make cookies.She bought the chocolate chips, flour and sugar and i had the rest. We made chocolate chip cookies with walnuts. We followed the ingredients on the back of the nestle chocolate chip bag. The hardest part of making them was how to measure the ingredients in a cup.Unfortunally we didn’t have a measuring cup.My cousin did the beating and i put the ingredients in a bowl.We used butter, flour ,sugar ,brown sugar, vanilla extract , salt , baking soda and eggs. We made a mess and my mom screamed at us. My brothers were making fun of us talking about we can’t even make an egg. We had fun making them, it was messy and it took a while to make. We were hoping for our cookies to come out as the Ms.Fields. My cousin kept getting some of the cookie dough and eating it.It was good and sweet. The best part of it was making the dough into balls and putting them on the tray. When we mixed in the chocolate chips in the dough it was white and i thought it was suppose to be brownish. We dicided to make our cookies differnent and added more than what was suppose to be, like more butter and sugar. When we put them in the oven i was seeing them rise up and it was nice. They were kind of fat and pale.I asked my cousin oh my god why are they white.She said it’s okay they will still be good. Whan we took them out  they smelled delicious and looked good.The chocolate chips melted and it had a golden bottom.I ate like 4 and my cousin ate 3.I feel like i gained some pounds but its all good. I would love to make them again i had so much fun.

well last week we were preparing more for the essay that we have to do for the book we are reading in class.We werked on some thesis papers and quotes.I hate looking for evidence in the book,it’s just too much. We read some of the book and the sisters ge t killed.It was kind of sad but there needs to be more drama.I finally received my report card and i got a 3.71 and i hope it stays that good because im slacking off a bit.School is so stressful right now because we have so much projects to do and i hate it.I don’t think ima have time to do anything because i have night school everyday from 4:15 to 8:15 and it sucks so much.I’m keeping up with my vocab journal and i haven’t even started on stretch marks ugh i hate school.Anyways..umm it’s been raining last week and it sucks because i can’t really go out or nothing.I hope this weeks goes good and not so much work is given out

This week i found out that we’re having an essay on the book.I feel this class very stressing becasue we have to do stretch marks,the vocab journal,and the outside reading book report.I hope the essay goes good because i am not reall a good essay taker.I liked how we did that thing where we right entrys on 5 pages about mate and Minerva.That’s kind of new and interesting.On the day we had a sub we were working on grammar,that was kind of hard because i am not that good at grammar.I feel like i need to start doing some stretch marks because soon January is going to come and i don’t have nothing. The lady from the phearson learning center came to the class and we were working on some survey thing about how well we think we did on our podcast.I want our essays to be due before break because it’s going to be so much work with vocab journals,the project and other class assignments.UGH MS.T Why you gotta give us so much work=]One more thing those quote analysis for our do nows are anooying  becasue they are so long to do but anyways thats about all we did adios.

My Thanksgiving break was kind of fun because i went out alot and spent some time with my boyfriend.I was happy because we didn’t have school.This week felt like it was friday or saturday everyday which was kinda weird.My Thanksgiving was good.All my family reunited and we went to my uncles for dinner.That’s a tradition for us becasue our family is very close.Anyways..We had lots of food like lasagna,turkey,ham,fahitas,pesto pasta, and other mexican food.My mom made the fajitas and some rice.On friday was black friday.I was mad because my mom told me to wake up at 4 a.m because we were going to go shopping.So i woke up at 4 and my mom was still sleeping i kept waiting and waiting until she woke up. So she woke up at 6 and told me hey let’s go downtown to see whats over there.So we left on bart and when we got over there it was packed and there was so much people with like macy’s bags and other store bags.I also got the shoes i wanted.=]Hmmm what else ohh today is my lil nephews birthday party at this clubhouse,His name is Elias and he’s turning 1.I hate Sundays because the next day is school and school irritates me!=[ ugh oh well i gotta do what i gotta do bye.

this week in class um we  kept on reading the book in the time of the butterflies and minerva and the fam get sent to jail because of trujillo. We had a sub on tuesday and we did this activity where we pick a character and we have to pick quotes.Some were like weakness, strength, feeling, .Our character was dede.We decided to pick her becasue there is more stuff to say about her.We said that her husband doesnt let her do anything and etc.We also had to present our poster and i think we did alright i mean it looked like nobody was really paying attention to what we were saying.I feel like doing these type of activities help me understand the book and the characters better.We were hearing the other groups present their posters and i learned alot about the characters.I like the character analysis do nows because it helps me understand what the character is talking about, but sometimes their horrible.Well thats all i really have to say right now bye.=]

This week in class we had a socratic seminar.We had two days to prepare for it.I did a prepare sheet that consisted of answering some questions,makin up some questions, and finding quotes.This socratic seminar was different than the other ones we usually do because Each group went twice.I think our group didn’t do that bad.I thought that we weren’t going to do as well the first time but it came out good.I’m kind of shy to ask questions because i feel like my questions are stupid.Well um i turned in my vocabulary journal on time and we also had to turn in our work yesterday.I like socratic seminars,but the topic we had was hard to figure out.I like the crime topic we had before.HMM i’ve been keeping up with my reading.I feel like i’m lost if i don’t keep up with the reading.The book is going good so far.I’ve learned alot about how to prepare for socratic seminars.This is new to me.Imma be off topic  but i’m hella craving a pazookie right now mmh=]

this week we learned 2 new words bourgeois and regime.Bourgeois means something or someone related to the middle class and regime means a group of people that are in power.I have been keeping up with my reading accept chapter 7.I liked how you placed the people that kept up with the reading on one side and the people who didn’t on the other side.We were werking on some questions about the book.HMM on Thursday we went to the pearson center and listened to podcasts.This week we didn’t really learn anything interesting it was mostly reviewing for the test we had today about the book.It wasn’t difficult or nothing,but i wish we could have had more time.On thursday we’re going o turn in our vocab journal and im good about it because i did it.Im kind of mad because i didn’t work at the polls because i didint want to miss school….Well that’s all i have to say Ms.Traverso there isn’t really nothing new to talk about.Have a good one!!!

hmm so this This week we did a cat and a hat discussion web.I liked it because it was easy to look for quotes in the book. The movie of In The time of the butterflies was good.SOme of the stuff that was in the book wasn’t really in the  movie. I recognized one of the actress from the movie.Shes in spanish Novelas.We didn’t learn a new word because we watched the movie.It was nice of Ms.traverso to  make us caramel apples.I’m glad we won the no swearing contest.I find the quote analysis easy because i have done it in my class before.Yesterday was the day before halloween and not much people didn’t dress up. Ms.traverso you looked like an old nanny with that pink thang you had on. i like the Do Nows you give us too there interesting.Hmm what else can i add on to this…Oh I looed at this lit that Ms.T posted up of who tured in the podcast and my name wasn’t there.I guess it didin’t send right,but that day i had to o to the pearson center and go send it again.I swear i am not really good at computer stuff. personally would not like to do a podcast ever again.
